Nombre: 9Nine
- ¿Por qué?: Anteriormente, el grupo era conformado por nueve personas, por eso mismo se denominó 9nine. Al salirse algunas integrantes del grupo, decidieron conservar el nombre del grupo en honor a las integrantes graduadas. Además, ya habían sido reconocidas bajo aquel nombre de grupo.

Carrera[]

La banda fue formada inicialmente bajo LesPros Entertainment en 2005 como un grupo de nueve miembros, de las cuales las restantes se marcharon. En la actualidad, el grupo sigue activo únicamente con cinco integrantes. En agosto de 2010, 9nine firmó con Sony Music Japan.

Aparte de cantar, el grupo participa activamente en la escena de los medios de comunicación como modelos de revista, actrices y habituales en programas de variedades.
