Biografía[]

Lee Ji Yeon, nacida 12 de abril 1979 en Seúl, conocida profesionalmente como Lee Soo Young, es una cantante de baladas de Corea. Ella perdió a su padre cuando ella todavía estaba en la escuela primaria y luego su madre murió en su último año de escuela secundaria, ambos en los accidentes de tráfico. Su música era la única forma para expresar su tristeza.

En 1995 ganó el concurso de canto Yoo Jae Ha's "Sarang Hah Kee Dae Moon Eh". Poco después, muchos músicos establecidos estaban dispuestos a ayudarla con la creación de su primer álbum como Park Young Chan. Su canción fue un éxito instantáneo en todo Asia, debido a las cualidades oriental-ish. Muchos artistas rehicieron la canción en su idioma natal.

Ella también apareció en una serie de espectáculos de variedades, mostrando su sentido del humor y su capacidad de ser cómica y desenfadada, añadiendo a su popularidad. Hoy es considerada una de los cantantes de baladas más famosa y lograda de Corea.

En 2001, cantó una versión de la canción de Final Fantasy X "Suteki Da Ne" en coreano, titulado "얼마나 좋을까" ( "Eolmana Joheulkka").

El 21 de enero de 2006, ella lanzó su séptimo álbum, "Grace". Que funciona muy bien, capaz de disparar directamente a la cima de las listas. La popularidad del álbum llevó a una edición limitada de "Grace", del cual sólo 30.000 copias fueron producidas.

Lee Soo Young debutó como actriz en el drama de dieciséis episodios "Don't Ask Me About the Past", ella apareció de pronto en los episodios 14 y 15 para proporcionar algunas risas. Ella dijo que tuvo algunos consejos de la actriz Kim Yoo Mi, quién le dijo que no insistiera en quedarse sólo con el canto, sino también tratar de desafiarse a sí misma también con la actuación. En una entrevista, Lee Soo Young explica: "Estoy llegando a los treinta, y pensé que sería bueno intentar muchas cosas diferentes antes de tener más arrugas.
