Metropolitan TV Sdn. Bhd., operating as 8TV, is a Malaysian Chinese-language free-to-air TV network. It is owned and operated by Media Prima.
History[]
Before being known as 8TV, it was called MetroVision. It started its broadcasting on July 1, 1995 and was managed by City Television Sdh. Bhd.[1] [2]
In 2001, it was then bought by Rediffusion Radio and renamed as Redi8.[2]
It was rebranded to its now known name, 8TV on 2004 under Metropolitan TV Sdn Bhd.[2]
