Makkali The Love Tree(Thai: มักกะลีที่รัก; RTGS: Makkali Theerak) is a Thai romantic-comedy fantasy television series produced by Cholumpi Productions Company Limited, written by Pranpramoon, directed by Natchanit Jirarungroj. It aired on Monday to Friday at 7:00 p.m. - 8:05 p.m. on Channel 3 HD.
Tankun, a science professor, only has one dream – to have the perfect family. His plan was crushed when his girlfriend, Praw, breaks up with him on the day he proposes. Not only does she break his heart, but she guts it by having an abortion of his unborn child.
Tankun, devastated, shuts himself from any prospects of love until he comes across Makkali, a mythical tree that bears fruit in the shape of a beautiful woman. Makkali has been chased by living creatures from the Himmapan forest. For her safety, Tankun takes her to the city and teaches her the human way of life.
According to the myth, she can only live for 7 days. Fear of being hurt again, Tankun only has two options; to end their relationship now or stay with her till the very bitter end.
