Suppasit Jongcheveevat (ศุภศิษฏ์ จงชีวีวัฒน์; born February 21, 1991 in Bangkok, Thailand), nicknamed Mew, is a Thai actor, model, singer-songwriter, producer and CEO of Mew Suppasit Studio.
Early Life and Education[]
Mew majored in Industrial Engineering at Kasetsart University where he graduated with First-Class Honors (Gold medal). He continued to pursue his Master's degree in industrial engineering at Chulalongkorn University and he is currently studying for his PhD degree.[1]
Career[]
Mew originally entered the entertainment industry as a model for advertisements, magazines, and music videos but soon began acting as well. In 2018, he was cast in his first main role in the BL series, What The Duck: The Series and he also starred as Tharn in TharnType: The Series (2019). Both series immediately gained attention and popularity within Thailand as well as internationally. He played the leading role of "Maen" in Thai PBS's mini series, Super Maen, a Drama For All project which aims to enable viewers with vision and hearing disabilities to enjoy the series. Aside from acting, Mew also served as the MC of the popular music program, T-Pop Stage.
Mew officially debuted as a singer on August 2020 upon the release of his hit single "Season Of You" and a year later, he made history as he became the first Thai artist to have entered Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, with five songs from his album "365" making it to the top 10. In 2021, he launched his Global Collaboration Project wherein he has done music collaborations with various international artists such as HONNE, Sam Kim and Bumkey.
Mew is currently an independent artist who has his own company called "Mew Suppasit Studio", the production arm of his film, television and music projects and partnerships. The company is producing its first TV series titled The Ocean Eyes, which will explore the lives of marine veterinarians. Mew will serve as both the executive producer and lead actor of the series.
