Summer's Desire (泡沫之夏; Pao Mo Zhi Xia; lit. Summer of Foam) is a 2010 Taiwanese drama series starring Barbie Hsu, Peter Ho and Huang Xiao Ming. It was based on the novel of the same name by Ming Xiao Xi. The television series was produced by Three-Giant Production with Peter Ho as a producer.
The series was first broadcast in Taiwan on free-to-air FTV from May 30 to August 29, 2010, every Sunday from 22:00 to 23:30 CST. It was nominated for Best Marketing at the 46th Golden Bell Awards in 2011.
Synopsis[]
Two men both lost out on their chances to win over the woman they loved, but can they learn from their past mistakes?
Yin Xia Mo (Barbie Hsu) and Luo Xi (Huang Xiao Ming) are both orphans who are adopted by the same family. Luo Xi is a cold, manipulative young man who lies and cheats and does whatever is necessary to get what he wants and achieve the success and fortune that he seeks. Ou Chen (Peter Ho) is a wealthy heir who dates Xia Mo during high school and is extremely protective of her and jealous of her closeness with Luo Xi. Both men will do anything to win Xia Mo's heart, but their all-consuming war with each other results in both losing Xia Mo.
Five years later, when the three meet again, will history repeat itself?[1]
