The leading actors met for the first time in Bangkok in May 2023 and scheduled to travel to Hong Kong towards the end of June 2023 for the film shoot, which is expected to last for a month. Throughout this period the production team planned for 4-5 shooting days per week.
The filming started in June, covering the old districts of Hong Kong including Kowloon City, Peng Chau and Tai O Outlying Islands. Before filming, the crew held a filming opening ceremony in Hong Kong.
Director Bernardo said, "The combination of Thai actors and Filipino actors can attract a wider audience. The actors will bring their own unique acting skills and experiences, which can not only help enrich the story but also bring authenticity to the characters they play. My aim was to create a film that celebrates the uniqueness and traditions of each culture while exploring the common themes that unite us as human beings."
Executive producer of the film, Richard Juan, expressed excitement about the company's first venture into film production. He said, "Although it's our first time, we have assembled a team with extensive experience and a track record of successful films. Their expertise, combined with our shared vision, has laid a solid foundation for this project. We are also fortunate to have the support of the Hong Kong Tourism Board for the filming. With Metawin and Janella breathing life into their characters, we have confidence in creating a captivating story that highlights the intricacies and complexities of cross-cultural relationships. This film explores the themes of human connections, as cultures collide and intertwine in our world every day."
Hong Kong's 28 Squared Studios serves as the producer and Hong Kong's Two Infinity Entertainment is the co-production company.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board has not only recommended shooting sites to the production team but also given suggestions on how to incorporate Hong Kong cultural characteristics into the story.
