Wu Xin: The Monster Killer 3 is a 2020 Chinese drama about an immortal man who seeks out death.

Synopsis[]

An immortal Taoist Master with no heart seeks his own death because he's fed up of living. In his journey seeking death, he encounters mysteries, murders and crimes, and eventually falls in love all over again. How is it like for an immortal and mortal to fall in love with each other? Most people seek immortality, but have we thought of what it would be like as Wu Xin is experiencing?[1]

    • Although it is the third installment of "Monster Killer", the story is set in the Tang Dynasty will be a prequel to Season 1 and 2, which are both set in the Republican era.[2]
    • Filming took place in Hengdian World Studios.[2]
    • Filming lasted three months from February 15, 2019 to May 18, 2019.[2]
    • This season does not follow the novel, which follows Wu Xin in modern times. There are speculations that the reason the story was changed is due to the censorship of ghosts stories set in the modern day in China.[2]
    • Producer Karen Tsai revealed that a movie that ties in with the series is in discussion.[2]
